UMAR, Portugal

UMAR works to prevent violence against women and gender violence. Their work is based on three dimensions: lobbying, research and direct intervention (responding to woman’s needs).

Our funding goes towards the Oporto Women’s Centre which supports, informs, accompanies the woman victim and her child/children until she can recover from victimization and be strengthened to pursue her life on a non-violence basis and with autonomy (work, housing, emotional well-being, cultural conditions).
