Tuklas Katutubo, meaning ‘Tribal Frontier’, is a group that has been working with indigenous people in the Mindanao area for the past 11 years. Their programmes are aimed at empowering the community through education, health, livelihood and sustainable agriculture programmes.
The group has been awarded £4,179 for their OLLONGAN Programme. This programme will reach out to 40 farmers, 40 health workers, 40 teachers, 40 youth and 135 community leaders. It will educate them on alternative health services, alternative sustainable agriculture and education for the IP teachers.
