Huggard

Huggard provides an open door to people who experience multiple exclusion homelessness. They work with people who are homeless not due to a lack of available housing but due to their inability to maintain independent accommodation. This can be for a variety of reasons including substance misuse, challenging behavior, physical and mental health issues and chronic sexual, physical and/or mental abuse.

Huggard strives to work with people that find it difficult to access mainstream services and have often had services from other providers withdrawn.

Our grant of £5,000 is for ‘The Beneficiary Scheme’ which is a service led programme where homeless people can apply for funds to pay for activities which are then used to the benefit of the whole community
