Tower Hamlets Summer Education believes that all young people should have the opportunity, outside of the formal education environment, to get the best out of themselves and their peers, and to put that back into 
their local communities.
Through the summer holidays, they run over 120 courses including their award winning Nang! Youth magazine training young journalists. The magazine tackles a wide range of issues affecting young people, from health to politics, sports to finance, music to crime and grime. In the words of a student “If I wasn’t doing Nang! my time would be spent unproductively. This gives young people the opportunity to better themselves while enjoying something….it keeps them off the streets which helps reduce crime and antisocial behaviour” Nang! Contributor, 18
