Its’s ‘snow’ joke…
As you know, we love our volunteers and supporters and who can blame us? They help us at events, they spread the work of the groups we support and they help us fundraise to help yet more groups. They are a terrific bunch.
Take our Brighton Marathon runners, for example. They brave all weather to continue their training, they are committed, dedicated and slightly nuts. And for this, we thank and applaud them. As should you – don’t forget you can still sponsor them http://www.justgiving.com/bodyshopfoundation
Go on…they’re lovely and its for a great cause! Here’s a top running tirade from the lovely Mark Davies…
“Snow! Stop the moaning, get those trainers on and get out there running. The white stuff has not stopped me running once…..took a little longer to warm up, granted, and then there was the time I nearly got taken out by a big bus. Apart from that, it’s been more of an annoyance that anything else! I’ve even managed to shave 30 seconds off my mile time in the bad weather! Makes me want to get home quicker clearly. Oh, yeah, there was the old man that decided to scare the life out of me and ‘toot’ me for running in the road – all I can say there is that I taught that [insert nasty word] a few words he never knew before!!!!”
