The Orangutan Foundation

The Orangutan Foundation works across the entire range of the orangutan species on the island of Borneo (part Indonesian and part Malaysian) and the island of Sumatra (Indonesia).

Their aim is to ensure the survival of orangutans and the biodiversity of their habitat through the protection of the tropical forests of Borneo and Sumatra.

Our funding of £20,000 over 2 years is given to develop the capacity of Indonesians, through sustainable livelihoods and educational activities, in areas close to prime orangutan habitat.
