The Anita Milan International Academy
The Anita Milan International Academy was founded in 2000 in Kathmandu, Nepal and is a non profitable and entirely social service orientated school. It was greatly assisted in its founding by the late, great Dame Anita Roddick.
The academy’s main purpose is making quality education accessible to everyone. This social service community school was established with an effort of the local educationists and social workers and now allows trained staff to provide the children with a high level of education to assist with their development.
The grant of £1,000 goes towards construction work to upgrade the classrooms and £4,191.22 – raised by staff of The Body Shop Interational on a sponsored bike ride – is restricted for scholarships for girls through the ‘send your daughter to school’ campaign.
