There’s a ‘buzz’ around this project….

bee3Ah, we love it when a project that we’ve supported gets the recognition that it deserves!

Check out this article in The Guardian, about the ‘Helping Honey Bee in Urban Areas’ project that we supported in January of this year.

Our funding of £20,000.00 went to LASI, a teaching and research facility within the School of Life Sciences at the University of Sussex with an operational apiary.   The grant made was towards the project Research to Help the Honey Bee in Urban Areas which aims to help the honey bee, which is a native British insect and the most important insect pollinator, by researching interventions that will ensure healthy and sustainable populations of this valuable creature. We hope that they’ve enjoyed the summer and haven’t found it too ‘swarm’….<blush at poorness of gag>  Happy reading!
