10 questions we ask everyone….introducing Lee Mann from our new Local Community Grant Panel

lee-mannI’m the Senior Buyer in our Community Fair Trade team responsible for the Gifts and Accessories category of the programme. I work with some of the hardest working peoples I have ever had the good fortune to meet and yes my role includes lots of travel (sigh)!

I wanted to get more involved with a local charitable organisation other than just volunteering (I try to visit the RSCPA centre in West Sussex every couple of months). As I have to be away a lot this means that a regular volunteering project is not something I can sign up to.

hhhmmm – going to sound cheap now but I am guessing it’s my two border collies – Dylis and Rani.

RSPCA

When was the last time you cried?

As this information isn’t being published anywhere (!) then I can tell you – it was Nepal in September. Funny though as it’s not sad things that make me cry (they usually make me angry) it’s the random acts of kindness I struggle with!
Who did you last receive a text from and what did it say ?

A friend – Now in the pub – what time are you getting here?

If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to?

Les – but you’ll have to ask the team why!

The specific areas of focus that The Foundation works to support.

What one skill or talent do you have that no-one knows about?

I played the English Horn at school up to secondary – got quite good at it too!
