Anita Award Winner : Michael Richardson, Senior Buyer, EMEA Region

“I was asked for a few words about what this trip means to me.
Quite simply, its is a chance to bring our values to life.
We read about the projects our organisation supports, we read about the difference we make to others.
We often get a reminder through various digital media, just as this.
But this is real. Its going to be first hand experience. A true sense, in an up close and personal, as well as geographical context of what The Body Shop Foundation is about.
Its a chance to visit a fantastic part of the world that ordinarily I would not have gone to visit.
It’s an opportunity with the help of our hosts:The Body Shop India, to experience the climate and the cultural diversity of their country.
It is also an opportunity to meet like minded colleagues from our other Global regions who too have been recognised as individuals that are living our values, and whose paths I would not normally crossed in our day to day roles.
I am under no illusion that I am very fortunate to be going, and I have no doubt this is a one-off for me.
I fully intend to soak up every second of this trip and I am sure that I will return feeling renergised about the very core of our brand.”
