Sahara Challenge 2012 – introducing Jason Floyd

jasonAh, what can we say about the lovely Jason…well actually, it was down to Jason that we started this whole challenge idea.  Yes, it was a normal morning when Jason came to our office stating that he’d like to cross the North Pole and had found the perfect company to do it with!  After many conversations and much research, we approach Charity Challenge (www.charitychallenge.com ) and the rest, as they say, is history.

Find out more about the delightful, daredevil that is Jason with our 10 questions that we ask absolutely everyone…..

Apart from your home and car, what’s the most expensive thing you’ve ever bought?
My Mountain bike – never been anywhere near a mountain.

What’s been the most embarrasing moment of your life?
A few years ago, in Glasgow airport I bent over and ripped the backside of my trousers, I had no way of hiding this, so had to buy a staple gun from WH Smith, go to the toilet and staple my trousers up – not a good day.

If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
Poverty.

If you were invisible for a day, what would be the first thing you’d do?
I can only think of dirty things – so not saying!

If you had a pound to give to charity, which collection tin would you pop it in?
Dogs Trust.

When was the last time you cried?
At my Grandad’s funeral last year.

Who did you last receive a text from and what did it say?
From my friend Vivien in Las Vegas – It’s 107, hot and sunny, time for a cocktail… its sooo unfair!

If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to?
Farty – you can’t say it without laughing (I heard this was quite a common name in Turkey!)

What is your favourite thing about The Body Shop Foundation?
All the fantastic work that they do!

What one skill or talent do you have that no-one knows about?
I am trained to fly an Airbus A320 (sadly not qualified though :-( )

We happen to think that Jason is pretty awesome – help him on his fundraising quest and donate whatever you can to his fundraising target at http://www.justgiving.com/Jason-Floyd .  On behalf of Jason and his thirst for advenure, thank you very much!
