Sahara Challenge : introducing Anji Sharp
The lovely Anji Sharp has been volunteering for The Body Shop Foundation for over 10 years now - helping at sales, stock sorts, gift bag assembly, handed out water at the first Brighton Marathon ever – you name it, she’s done it! She’s one of our loyalist, most caring, funniest volunteers and we love her dearly for being so committed and enthusiastic of our work here at The Body Shop Foundation.
She’s now signed up to the Sahara Challenge, pushing herself to the limit for access to clean water for others. We think she’s a total star – read more about her here in the 10 questions we ask absolutely everyone…
Apart from your home and car, what’s the most expensive thing you’ve ever bought?
Purchased my Apple Pro Laptop and very fortunate to buy myself a diamond cluster.
What’s been the most embarrasing moment of your life?
Christmas 1975 was very drunk at a Fireman’s Headquarters dance, ask directions to the loo, I accidently opened the door, (where the firemen slide down the pole) ended up “spread eagle” on mattress at the bottom. When I looked up everyone was looking at me laughing in hysterics!).
If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
Eradicate poverty & sex trafficking children/adults
If you were invisible for a day, what would be the first thing you’d do?
Be “Tigger” for the day.
If you had a pound to give to charity, which collection tin would you pop it in?
Cancer (loss too many loved ones to this disease).
When was the last time you cried?
Met my brother in Hong Kong 04.08.11 who I have not seen in 3 years.

If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to?

What is your favourite thing about The Body Shop Foundation?
Their driving force to create change.
What one skill or talent do you have that no-one knows about?
Artistic.
