Brighton & Hove Retired Greyhounds

The Brighton Retired Greyhound Trust is a registered charity which workds alongside the national RGT and other local welfare organisations.

This charity was founded in 1978 to care for retired racing greyhounds and supervise their placement into happy permanent pet retirement homes.

Approximately 9,000 greyhounds retire from racing each year, typically beetwen three and four years of age.

The charity supports a rehoming kennel to care for the greyhounds awaiting rehoming.  All prospective pet homes are inspect and full support is offered following rehoming.

We gave £3,160 through our Local Community Grants Programme towards the repairs to the kennel bed installation which need replacing.
