Chichester Group Riding for the Disabled
RDA is a national charity with over 500 member groups. These groups provide riding and/or carriage driving to adults and young people with a wide range of disabilities in order to benefit their general health and well being.
Chichester is one such group and they offer local disabled adults and children the opportunity not only to ride but to have real contact with the horses. Its very obvious to everyone involved with the group how much each rider benefits from and enjoys these sessions.
We gave them £3,000 through our Local Community Grants Programme towards the cost of a new horse – Bella – to replace retiring Rosa who is 28 years old.
