LifeCentre, West Sussex
LifeCentre’s aim is to provide a community based service to people who are disadvantaged, as a result of rape and sexual abuse.
They do this through providing specialist face to face counselling services of up to a year’s duration, telephone, email and text helplines and through outreach and preventative workshops.
They also offer training and talks to schools, youth groups and other organisations.
They are the only service in Sussex supporting men, women and child survivors irrespective of when the abuse took place.
We gave them £5,000 through our Local Community Grants Programme towards face to face counselling for clients who cannot afford to pay the full cost of their counselling.
