Project Perry, Inc

Project Perry, Inc. is a non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, adoption and sanctuary of parrots living in captivity.

To fulfill their aim of rescuing and providing safe housing and good care for parrots living in unacceptable conditions, they work closely with individuals, other animal welfare organizations and animal control agencies.

Each new arrival receives medical attention, rehabilitation, and good nutrition. They carefully evaluate each parrot to determine suitability for adoption or sanctuary.

Using their protective adoption policies, they find each adoptable bird a loving and forever home. Those birds not appropriate for adoption are placed in their sanctuary facilities where they will remain in cage-free, natural environments with others of their own kind.

In addition to rescue and adoption, they offer behavioural management advice to guardians and a Lifetime of Care program that provides the option of lifetime sanctuary for parrots in the event of the guardian’s physical disability, sickness, death or other circumstance.

They offer these programs towards fulfilling their overall mission of providing protection and a safe place for homeless parrots who may have no other place to go – many just days from euthanization.

We gave them £3,200 through our Americas Funding Panel towards general operation expenses.
