Street Child Africa
Street Child Africa (SCA) is a charity that has proven itself small enough to be flexible, but big enough to make a difference.
In the last 13 years, it has raised over £6 million for projects serving street children and other ‘at risk’ youth.
Its mission is to champion the rights of African street children and other children at risk by listening to them and supporting quality services that address their needs and fulfill their aspirations. Its work seeks to strengthen the impact of its partner organisations through funding, training and advice, create strong local African networks and raise awareness both in the UK and overseas.
We gave them £20,000 through the Global Grants Programme for Functional Literacy, Skills Training and Start-up Businesses for Street Girls in Accra, Ghana.
